The past few weeks have seen the stock market fluctuate on investor concerns over the global spread of a new strain of coronavirus—SARS-CoV-2. So far, the virus has been linked to tens of thousands of cases and thousands of deaths in China, as well as a growing number of cases in more than two dozen other countries.
