High-quality, concordant genotyping results from population-scale NGS workflows

High-throughput genotyping is essential for population-scale agricultural research, but traditional NGS workflows can be limited by complex library preparation and inconsistent DNA extraction—particularly when working with diverse plant and animal tissues. To address these challenges, Twist developed a streamlined, AgBio-optimized workflow that simplifies sample preparation while maintaining high data quality at scale.

This poster highlights the Twist FlexPrep™ UHT Pure Ag workflow, which integrates the Twist DNA Purification Kit with FlexPrep™ UHT Library Preparation. The single-step purification process generates high-quality gDNA from both animal and plant tissues, while FlexPrep’s self-normalizing adapters and inline barcodes enable early pooling and highly multiplexed library preparation. Together, these innovations reduce hands-on time and workflow complexity while delivering uniform coverage and high-confidence genotyping results suitable for large cohorts.
