Gene Pools are a revolution in pooled DNA synthesis. Our proprietary pooled assembly platform assembles pools of oligos into pools of genes ranging from 300bp to 1.8 kb. Our Gene Pools platform completely solves the challenges common in pooled assembly workflows, offering an up to 1:3000 error rate*, a 0% chimera rate**, 90% sequence representation within 10x the mean***, and <1% dropout rates**. ** Dropout rate refers specifically to accepted sequences. Of fragments accepted in fiscal year 2025, >99% were shipped.
*** Uniformity metrics are only applicable for sequences within a maximum 15% length variation.
**** Gene pools up 50k fragments are shipped within 10BD, up to 150k fragments are shipped within 15BD. This timeframe refers to the typical processing and handling time within our facilities before your order is handed over to the shipping carrier. To rigorously benchmark this platform, we assembled multiple gene pools, each consisting of thousands of sequences at lengths between 650bp and 1.8kb. These pools were designed with mean pairwise similarities up to 97%, classifying them as “chimera-prone” if they were built through standard pooled assembly methods. We then employed high-fidelity PacBio single-molecule sequencing to precisely quantify the percentage of perfect molecules (no synthesis errors, template switching, or chimeras).
