Fer Tornos | Team Leader, FAS for North UK, Ireland & Denmark.
After a PhD on neuronal development where Fer got her first exposure to genetics, she decided to join Illumina on their mission to improve human health by unlocking the power of the genome. She spent 7 years supporting customers on the end to end workflow until she decided to expand her responsibilities by joining Twist, where she is able to apply her scientific and genomics knowledge to the broad spectrum of NGS applications using all the different available platforms on market in combination with the powerful Twist portfolio.
André Heimbach, FAS for DACH, Netherland & Belgium.
André works passionately supporting our customers in the DACH region, the Netherlands and Belgium. Before joining Twist, he managed the NGS Core Facility Bonn, where he provided comprehensive scientific and technical assistance to scientists and clinicians in the application of NGS technologies. His professional career as a human geneticist and laboratory manager has given him a strong expertise in related topics and techniques, both in research and diagnostics.
Yann Merlet, FAS for France, Italy, Spain & Portugal.
Yann began this career being involved in the human genome project at Genset and then became head of the service department for 13 years at Millegen, service company performing microbiology, cloning, and sequencing. After moving to the field with Roche as an application scientist, he joined Twist Bioscience in 2019. With more than 20 years of experience in the sequencing field, Yann uses his scientific knowledge in molecular diagnostics and brings his enthusiasm and technical expertise to his NGS customers.
Yoan Lassalle, FAS for France & Luxembourg.
Yoan started his career in molecular biology within the oncology field. He then moved to the automation field where he was responsible for setting up automated workflows for virology and oncology. At Twist, he is fully dedicated to his customers, helping them find the right solution to their questions and guiding them to the most suited products for their applications. His mission is to give the best wet lab experience to the technical team and help them to achieve successful results.
Meena Anissi, FAS for South UK & Nordics.
Meena has been working in NGS since 2011, starting her career at The Genome Analysis Centre in Norwich (now the Earlham Institute) and then transitioning to the sequencing facility at The Francis Crick Institute in London. Her time at these core sequencing facilities enabled Meena to develop comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with NGS pipelines. Meena joined Twist in 2018 and effectively applied her experience to excel in her role as the first NGS FAS to cover Europe for Twist.
Marcus Rauchensteiner, FAS for Switzerland, Southern Germany & Austria.
Marcus is an Application Scientist working at the interface between sequencing and automation for almost two decades. He has successfully established a huge variety of library preparation systems on all common automation platforms. His in-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures and the drive to give scientist back their time for science help our customers to become more successful every day.
Vishal Dixit, FAS for Germany, Poland, & EMEA Channel Partners.
Vishal focuses on epigenetics, transcriptomics, and long-read sequencing technologies. He started his career in molecular biology, biochemistry, and molecular mechanism of cardiac regeneration before moving into RNA biology. He has a proven scientific record in epigenomics and benchmarking clinical NGS methods from bench to bedside. Vishal loves utilizing his scientific knowledge to solve complex genomic questions and assist customers with new R&D genomic projects.
